Matthew Taylor

Managing Director

As Managing Director, Matthew leads from the front and coordinates, with great empathy, the whole team.

Having extensive experience across the house building Industry over decades, he brings with him a wealth of experience that also included a 14 year stint in Australia as a luxury house builder.

Matthew is committed to the highest standards and these are applied across everything that is built by Ashgrove and where operational management, problem solving and solutions are his speciality.

Richard Kelso

Strategic Land Director

Richard heads the Groups land division and as a chartered surveyor has considerable experience in all the facets of land and planning.

Ashgrove relies on Richard and the wider team to deliver many sites that have in the past been condemned as “planning impossible.”

Richard thrives on this challenge and has a particular interest in community focused projects.

Helen Thomas

Legal Director

Unlike other companies, we have our own in house legal team, very ably headed by Helen and ensuring we can deliver complex legal challenges swiftly and efficiently.

Helen has considerable experience and a structured, creative approach that is solution driven and sets her apart from many other Solicitors.

With experience working for the Authority for Wales, Eversheds and Capital Law as a Partner, her skill set is wide, varied, but especially focused on all aspects of development and brownfield redevelopment.
